Where We Started

Fleming Technical Resources began in Iowa in 1999, built by Norm and Nicole Fleming with a clear point of view on staffing: people deserve to be treated like people, not transactions.

At the time, the staffing industry was crowded with firms chasing volume and speed. Norm and Nicole saw something missing. Too often, consultants were treated as commodities, and clients were left navigating placements that looked good on paper but failed in practice. FTR was created to do things differently, slower where it mattered, and always with intention.

Why We Work the Way We Do

From the beginning, FTR chose a relationship-first approach. That meant listening before placing, asking better questions, and being honest about fit, even when it was uncomfortable.

FTR understands that staffing is not just about filling a role. It is about livelihoods, families, teams, and long-term outcomes. That belief shaped a culture rooted in servant leadership, where doing what is right outweighs doing what is easy, and where trust is earned through consistency, not promises.

How Our Team Works Together

A unified, purpose-driven team supports every client engagement. At Fleming Technical Resources, each role plays an important part in delivering the reliable, responsive, and results-focused experience clients expect.

Reliability You Can Count On

Blue Sky Gradient

"Truth, trust, and transparency guide every interaction. We focus on clarity, follow-through, and doing right by the people and organizations we serve."

How That Story Shows Up Today

More than two decades later, FTR remains intentionally grounded in the same values it was founded on: truth, trust, and transparency. While the technology landscape has evolved and client needs have grown more complex, the core of FTR has stayed the same.

Today, FTR supports organizations across the public and private sectors, including government agencies and contracting partners, while continuing to advocate for the professionals it places. As a WOSB-certified company, FTR also contributes to supplier diversity goals while maintaining the personal accountability and care that defined its early years.

This balance, experience paired with humility, growth paired with restraint, is what allows FTR to remain steady, trusted, and deeply invested in every relationship it builds.
